Navigation to Peulla

P08Chile_b03_daytours We go on a boat trip to the beautiful island of Peulla which is situated in the Todos los Santos Lake. We depart early in the morning from Puerto Varas to Petrohué and enjoy impressive views of the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco that dominate the scenery here. When we arrive at Petrohué we have 30 minutes break before the boat leaves to Peulla and crosses the Todos los Santos Lake. If the weather conditions allow it we will be able to see volcano Osorno, the Puntiaguado hill and the Tronador from our boat. After our arrival at Peulla we visit the ecological villa which is a true paradise for nature enthusiasts. A couple of hours later we return to Puerto Varas or to Puerto Montt approximately at 19:30

The winery’s restaurant was also declared a National Monument and is called “Doña Paula” in honour to Paula Jaraquemada, a woman that in the Independence period gave refuge to O’Higgins and 120 of his soldiers. From this historic episode comes the name of one of the most renowned wines of Santa Rita. The visit ends with the tasting of two wines Medalla Real.
